Three suspects arrested in Barger Drive area shots fired investigation, police say

EUGENE, Ore. – Police arrested three suspects for disorderly conduct and cited a fourth person following an investigation into gun shots fired in the Barger Drive area early on Tuesday, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said that police responded at 12:25 a.m. on March 25 to a reported dispute at a home on Amirante Street where several callers reported hearing gun shots fired with four males seen leaving the area in a white sedan. Responding officers quickly responded to the scene and found spent ammunition casings in the area, police said. Eugene police officials said that, during a welfare check of the home, officers learned that the home’s residents had been confronted by people outside, one of whom is believed to have fired a firearm into the air. The source of the shots is currently under investigation and there’s no indication that the home or vehicles parked at the residence were affected by the shots fired, police officials said. Authorities said located a suspect vehicle in a parking lot on Empire Park and Barger Drive that was occupied by four male teens that ranged in age from 16 to 18.
