A Lane County resident, Warren Williamson, shared his harrowing experience with KVAL News of being in Bangkok during a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck the region on Friday.
Williamson, who is visiting Thailand until next week, was at a nearby mall during a lunch break when he started to feel uneven.
“All of a sudden, I got real dizzy and I noticed the room, or the building, was swaying and it got me so disoriented that I went down to my knees because I thought I was going to faint,” Williamson said. “Then, all of a sudden, panic because the mall was full of lunch hour visitors; people running and screaming and trying to get out of the building.”…
