To mark one year since the death of Sgt. Logan DeLanoy, the American Legion Post #83 is highlighting his life and service on Saturday during their 50th anniversary honor ride.
DeLanoy, who was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, died at age 25 on April 1, 2024. DeLanoy grew up in Harrisburg and attended Willamette Leadership Academy, where he earned the highest-ranking title in the school’s history and graduated as the valedictorian. He enlisted at age 17 and rose through the ranks, getting invited to join the Marine Forces Special Operations Command.
