EUGENE, Ore. — A woman accused of trying to burn down her ex-boyfriend’s parents’ home last summer is now accused of stealing from a man who was a witness to the arson investigation.
The victim came forward in the months following the fire to say he believed Jasmine Wright had stolen his mother’s debit card after he and Wright had a falling-out.
The victim found that $1,300 was missing from his mother’s account, and had been spent on tickets to four shows at the Hult Center, to include Dear Evan Hansen, Chicago, Hadestown and Champions of Magic. The IP address used to make the purchases was traced to Wright’s address. An ankle monitor worn by Wright while she was out on bail in the arson investigation showed her at the Hult Center at one of the shows. It showed she tried to attend a second show but by then the purchase had been canceled with the theft being reported…
