EUGENE, Ore. (KATU) — The University of Oregon announced it discovered the Department of Homeland Security had terminated an international student’s nonimmigrant visa record due to unspecified criminal charges.
On March 28, the Department of Homeland Security terminated the visa of an international student for reasons still unknown to the university.
The university said it was not notified of this termination. A spokesperson confirmed the university is required to inform students when their F-1 visa status is terminated, and students are given 15 days to leave the country unless they have another legal pathway for remaining…
