New 24/7 mobile crisis service in Lane County aims to fill CAHOOTS gap

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Lane County’s mobile crisis response program is set to expand to provide 24/7 service by June, helping to fill the gap as White Bird’s CAHOOTS program reduces its hours. Since its launch in August, the program has already managed over 1,300 calls, addressing mental health and substance use crises throughout the county.

As the program prepares to extend its coverage, Jason Davis, a spokesperson for Lane County Health and Human Services, said the service aims to provide aid throughout the entire county.
