EUGENE, Ore. — After more than three decades of alternative crisis intervention, CAHOOTS is no longer responding to calls within Eugene.
White Bird Clinic officially ended CAHOOTS services within Eugene city limits on Monday, marking a significant shift in how the city addresses behavioral health emergencies. Amee Markwardt, Executive Director of the White Bird Clinic, says, “I’m obviously disappointed. I had hoped that we wouldn’t be cut.”
