EUGENE, Ore. — Average gasoline prices in Eugene have decreased by 4.3 cents per gallon over the past week, now averaging $3.86 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 78 stations in the area. Despite the recent drop, prices in Eugene remain 31 cents higher than a month ago but are 47.5 cents lower than the same time last year.
The national average price of diesel has also seen a decrease, falling 4.8 cents to $3.546 per gallon. Meanwhile, the national average price of gasoline has dropped 8.2 cents per gallon, averaging $3.13 per gallon as of Monday. This national average is up 7.8 cents from a month ago but stands 46.9 cents lower than a year ago.
In Eugene, the cheapest gas station was priced at $3.53 per gallon on Sunday, while the most expensive was $4.29 per gallon, marking a 76-cent difference. Across Oregon, prices ranged from $3.38 to $4.99 per gallon, a difference of $1.61…
