19 people in Oregon charged in scheme to steal SNAP benefits to buy and sell baby formula

PORTLAND, Ore. — More than a dozen people in Oregon have been indicted on charges including money laundering after allegedly stealing more than $500,000 from SNAP to buy baby formula to sell on the black market.

The Oregon Department of Justice indicted 19 people in the scheme, Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield announced on Wednesday.
