Eugene’s newest business Hodgepodge may have just solved the age-old question: “Where can I drink a draft beer and read my book at the same time?”
Owners Stuart and Sophie Raymond created the kind of place they always wanted — a cozy bookshop and taproom in one. And in the process, they’ve managed to unite two things nearly everyone in Eugene seems to love: books and beer.
Hodgepode is set to open April 26, just in time for Independent Bookstore Day. The bookstores of Eugene are celebrating with a mini passport, where book lovers can travel around the city and visit their favorite spots for a passport stamp. When the mini passport is full, customers can turn it in for 15% off their next purchase at any participating bookstore.
