Richland man cycles 363 miles to Springfield for addiction charity, raises nearly $12,000

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Jeffery Shaw of Richland, Wash. bicycled over 360 miles to Springfield, Ore. in the name of raising money for those battling addiction.

The ride began Thursday morning at 6 and ended just after 1 p.m. Friday afternoon at Olsson Industrial Electric, benefiting a Tri-Cities nonprofit called Clean Sweep.

Shaw said it felt like he’s “on top of the world,” immediately after finishing his ride, and shared why it meant so much to him…
