OSAA track and field state roundup: Kleinke, Forsha repeat, two teams get trophies

Another record wasn’t to be, but Addison Kleinke did come away with her second individual state title in as many days.

The Churchill standout won the competition on the first height she attempted and cleared one more bar, at 12 feet, 6 inches, to win the 5A girls pole vault May 31 at the OSAA track and field state meet at Hayward Field.

A day earlier, Kleinke finished first in the long jump, another event in which she came into the meet as the favorite. She’s the state’s all-time leader in the pole vault at 14- ¾, a height she cleared at the Oregon Twilight May 9 at Hayward…
