Eugene Police detain teen following threatening social media post

EUGENE, Ore. – A teenager has been detained by Eugene Police following a concerning social media post.

Eugene Police went to Twin Rivers Charter School around 11 a.m. June 6. That’s where they said someone alerted them to the 16-year-old male’s post, which involved a handgun and a potential threat.

Authorities quickly identified and detained the teen near Laurel Hill and Augusta Street, just northeast of Hendricks Park. The teen is facing charges of disorderly conduct and menacing…
