Juvenile suspect arrested in connection with River Road area shots fired incident

EUGENE, Ore. – A juvenile suspect was arrested in Salem last week in connection with an incident that led to a lockdown of North Eugene High School late last month, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said that responded at 11:39 a.m. on May 29 to a reported dispute involving a group of juveniles at 2080 River Road. One of the juveniles was reportedly armed and there were reports that gunshots had been fired into the air, police said. Eugene School District 4J officials said that North Eugene High School was placed on lockdown that afternoon as a precautionary measure at the recommendation of Eugene police officials. In coordination with the Salem Police Department, EPD detectives located the juvenile suspect believed armed at a Salem home and a firearm was also recovered after the suspect was arrested, police said…
