EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene Beer Week kicked off Monday, and with the burden of tariffs coming down on the industry, breweries say there is a new emphasis on collaboration among the dozens of companies participating, as all work to navigate a changing economic landscape.
“Now, especially, brewers are subject to a lot of these tariffs that are going on right now where we’re coming up against aluminum tariffs. We’re coming up against grain tariffs coming in from Canada as well, so hugely important time to support your local brewery and taproom,” said Mat Olive, quality lab supervisor at Ninkasi Brewing.
