Eugene gas prices surge 17 cents in a week amid geopolitical tensions

EUGENE, Ore. — Average gasoline prices in Eugene have surged by 17.1 cents per gallon over the past week, reaching an average of $3.98 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 78 stations in the area. This marks an increase of 11.7 cents from a month ago and 17.5 cents from a year ago.

The national average price of diesel has also seen a significant rise, increasing by 16.1 cents in the last week to $3.649 per gallon. The national average gasoline price has risen by 9.7 cents per gallon, now averaging $3.18 per gallon, according to GasBuddy data compiled from over 11 million weekly price reports.
