Eugene City Council Unanimously Adopts 2025-2027 Biennial Budget, Tackles $11.5M Shortfall

The Eugene City Council has approved the 2025–2027 Biennial Budget, finalizing the city’s financial plan through 2027. The unanimous vote took place on Monday, following months of planning and public input.

According to the Eugene City website, the adopted budget addresses an $11.5 million shortfall in the General Fund. To close the gap, the city increased revenue by $4.7 million, reduced services by $3.8 million, and cut $2.2 million from planned investments.
