Man arrested and facing multiple charges following single-vehicle crash

EUGENE, Ore. – A 37-year-old Eugene man was arrested on Wednesday morning and is facing charges that include impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said police responded at 6:36 a.m. on June 25 to a single-vehicle crash at Green Acres Road and Delta Oaks Drive. The driver of a Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck, identified as Mitchell Allen Gould, had crashed and wedged the vehicle between a City of Eugene power pole and a bush, coming to a rest about 30 feet away from a nearby home, police said. Eugene police officials said a responding officer helped Gould out of the vehicle through the front passenger door. The officer suspected that Gould was impaired and was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants after being cleared by medics at the scene, police said.
