EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene-Springfield Pride is making significant changes this year by moving indoors and being a ticketed event for the first time in its 31-year history. The event will now take place at the Lane Events Center — prioritizing safety, accessibility, and inclusivity.
Organizers said the new venue offers improved accessibility, especially from an ADA perspective.
“That’s one of the biggest benefits about moving to the Lane Events Center is the improvement in accessibility… from an ADA perspective — all of the surfaces are flat, there are no curbs that people have to go over, there’s sidewalks, so that’s a lot easier than the grass at Alton Baker Park,” Brooks Mclain, Board President of Pride, said.
