Firefighters were called to an electrical fire only to find out it was a structure fire upon their arrival

EUGENE, Ore. – Firefighters responded on Sunday afternoon to a structure fire that was electrical in origin, according to Eugene Springfield Fire authorities.

ESF officials said that the incident occurred at about 3 p.m. on July 6 when, a branch fell from a tree onto a power line causing an alternator to burst in the area of Willagillespie Road. The spark caused a structure fire on a shed and fence.

Fire crews quickly arrived at the scene and put out the fire before it could become something worse…
