Boater hospitalized after medical emergency on Willamette River

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A boater in Lane County was hospitalized Thursday morning following a medical emergency on the Willamette River.

According to Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF), the boater managed to navigate their vessel closer to the riverbank, allowing first responders to reach them more easily.

A battalion chief on scene reported that the emergency involved chest pain, and the caller provided clear instructions regarding their location. The boater was subsequently transported to RiverBend for medical care. Pleasant Hill Goshen also assisted in the rescue operation…
