University of Oregon dean resigns amid travel expenses scrutiny

EUGENE, Ore. – The dean of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication is stepping down amid scrutiny over travel expenses. Juan-Carlos Molleda will resign effective August 1 and return to a faculty role.

The resignation was confirmed by a journalism employee after an announcement was made to faculty and staff. University of Oregon Provost and Senior Vice President Chris Long communicated the decision in an email.
