Good Morning. This week’s weather is being driven by two primary elements. To our West, we have a deep low extending from Alaska while to our East, a region of high pressure is building and moving West. Today, our conditions will mostly be powered by the high pressure ridging. So, most areas today will be completely sunny with light winds and rising temps. Inland, we are looking at the high 80’s today with mid 60’s along the Coast. The second feature, the Alaskan low, will be pushing winds in from the Southwest along the mid and upper level atmosphere. This will provide a lifting mechanism and moisture to the Mountains. These characteristics are conducive to thunderstorm development, so the Lane County Cascades are likely to see thunder cells develop starting this afternoon and lasting…..
