Man killed after stabbing two Springfield police officers suffered from mental illness, father says

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Lane County District Attorney Chris Parosa confirmed the identity of the man shot and killed last week by a Springfield police officer as 38-year-old Daniel Aron Kahn.

Before he was killed, investigators say Kahn attacked two other officers with knives, when they responded to a call on Thursday afternoon for a disorderly subject in the Gateway area.
