Lane County applauds new laws aiming to improve state’s mental health services

EUGENE, Ore. — According to Forbes, Oregon is ranked 11th for worst access to mental health.

Governor Tina Kotek says she’s working to change that, signing a series of bills Wednesday designed to help improve access to mental health care, including House Bill 20-59, which aims to get more people off the streets and into care programs.
