Motorcade training to briefly impact Eugene traffic Tuesday

EUGENE, Ore. — On Tuesday, August 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., multiple agencies from across the state will conduct motorcade skills training in Eugene. The training will include simulated motorcades through the city, with motorcycle and traffic vehicle officers temporarily blocking intersections as the motorcade passes.

The Eugene Police Department (EPD), which is hosting the training, tells us the closures will last no more than two to three minutes, often less than one minute. “If you encounter this, it will only be a short stop and we thank you in advance for your patience,” they said…
