Two arrested after gun scare at Fall Creek Reservoir

LOWELL, Ore. – A tense situation unfolded at a campground near Fall Creek Reservoir on Thursday afternoon when Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a man chasing people with a pistol.

According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at about 4 p.m. on August 14 with an armored rescue vehicle and a drone operator. They found victims who had fled after being threatened by an unknown man with a pistol.

Deputies detained two individuals at the scene. Randy Kurtis Bounds, 50, of Ashland, matched the suspect description and was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and three counts of Menacing…
