SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Springfield city leaders are calling on community members to share their ideas to enhance the quality of life in the city as the city prepares to begin five years of capital improvement projects.
They are inviting input for the upcoming Capital Improvement Program (CIP) spanning 2027 to 2031. The CIP is a five-year plan that guides major projects aimed at advancing the city. This includes upgrades to streets, sidewalks, bike paths, and more.
“The whole purpose of the CIP is to align our projects which we have a lot of needs in the city with the funding which right now is kind of less than what we would like,” said Stan Petroff, Springfield’s city engineer…
