EUGENE, Ore. — Two suspects were arrested after a license plate reader camera flagged the vehicle they were driving as stolen on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said the LPR cam flagged a stolen Subaru Legacy at 2:08 p.m. on Aug. 20. A patrol officer then spotted the vehicle in the parking lot of the Albertson’s grocery store on Division Avenue, watching from a distance while waiting for backup to arrive. At least two people were seen in the vehicle before it left and traveled southbound on River Road, police said.
