EUGENE, Ore. – A former payroll specialist for the public housing agency Homes for Good has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than half a million dollars from the organization.
According to authorities, 60-year-old Miranda Renee Wilcox of Eugene entered her plea to six counts of first-degree aggravated theft. The plea deal resulted in the dismissal of 21 identity theft charges. According to court records, the thefts allegedly occurred between April 2022 and September of 2024. All but one of the computer crimes occurred on May 1, 2023 with the last occurring on June 27, 2023, court documents said. Wilcox was indicted in May of this year.
