Hamilton hall demolition to begin with expected completion by end of 2025

EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon is set to demolish the long-standing Hamilton Hall as part of a significant transformation project.

The demolition marks the final step in a multi-phase effort that began in 2018, aiming to modernize the campus. For over 60 years, Hamilton Hall has been a central part of the university, housing thousands of students. Now, the site will transform into a sprawling green space stretching from the Erb Memorial Union lawn to Matthew Knight Arena.
