Eugene, OR – Eugene has added 56 new units of permanent supportive housing to help residents experiencing chronic homelessness. Homes for Good converted a four-story former hotel and wildfire shelter site in downtown Eugene into the apartment community, now named Bridges on Broadway. The development includes 56 units for residents and one manager unit.
Bridges on Broadway is designed to serve individuals facing severe and persistent mental illness or substance use disorders. Residents will have access to support services to help them maintain stable housing.
The project received more than $558,000 in City of Eugene Affordable Housing assistance, including $383,400 from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, $130,500 in city fee assistance to cover building permits and city fees, and $44,600 in System Development Charge exemptions.
