Crews stopped the progression of a fast-moving fire that burned west of Eugene about 3 miles south of Fern Ridge Lake and Highway 126, according to the Oregon Department of Forestry.
When the nearly 15-acre fire broke out Thursday around 3:30 p.m., it threatened homes and structures in the Veneta area.
