High-speed chase in Springfield ends with crash at Dorris Ranch

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A high-speed chase in Springfield led to a crash and arrest early on Saturday, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO officials said the incident began just after midnight on Aug. 30 when a deputy attempted a traffic stop on Highway 126.

The driver, David Stewart Hernandez-German, 21, fled from the scene, heading south on Pioneer Parkway and then onto South 2nd Street before crashing into a security gate at Dorris Ranch, deputies said. Significant damage occurred to the gate and other property…
