EUGENE, Ore. — A duck losing his head was the first tell something was amiss.
Oregon’s mascot, Puddles, ran out onto the field for a pregame routine. With props in hand he face planted, sending the mascot head rolling and the man behind the mask sprinting back to the tunnel.
