Thursday, Sept. 4, will be the last day of operation for Hop Valley Brewing’s Eugene pub at 990 W. First Ave., though the company plans to reopen at a new Eugene location within a year.
“The brand plans to close the co-located pub in favor of a more centrally located, highly trafficked downtown area in Eugene within the next 12 months,” a Hop Valley spokesperson said in an email. “The brand is excited to take this opportunity to reimagine its presence.”
Hop Valley’s Springfield location remains open. The company’s production facility at the Eugene location closed in April following a change in ownership. The spokesperson said the pub closure will affect fewer than 20 full and part-time employees at the Eugene location, and the company will likely offer current employees a position when the new location opens…
