Man arrested in connection with U-Haul arson incident

EUGENE, Ore. – A 43-year-old man was arrested in connection with an arson incident on Tuesday at a River Road area U-Haul rental facility, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said that staff at the Oroyan Avenue U-Haul rental site reported one of their trucks had been set on fire at about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 2 and sustained heavy damage. A license plate reader camera flagged the associated suspect vehicle with the incident on Sept. 3. Police located a suspect, identified as Gregory Anderson Gober, at a Dollar General store on Highway 99 North. After additional investigation, Gover was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail where he faces a charge of second-degree arson…
