Oregon Sheriff: Swisshome Man Arrested in Eugene Parking Lot After Assault Report

Swisshome, OR – A Swisshome man was arrested this week in connection with an assault that deputies say took place in late August.

According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies began investigating on August 30 after an assault was reported at a home in the 89700 block of Indian Creek Road in Swisshome. Witnesses and an injured victim were interviewed during the investigation, which led authorities to identify Jacobi Isiah Jones, 32, of Swisshome, as a suspect.

Deputies said Jones’ whereabouts were unknown in the days following the incident, and multiple attempts to locate him were unsuccessful. On September 5, a deputy located Jones’ vehicle in a parking lot on West 11th Avenue in Eugene.
