The Lane County district attorney announced today that a Springfield police officer was justified in shooting Daniel Kahn in the back July 30, killing him. The shooting happened after Kahn stabbed two police officers and then ran inside a car wash armed with two knives. Jaime Adame has the details.
Eugene City Council began discussing how to approach the renewal of the city’s library levy yesterday, which is set to expire next June. The current library levy costs homeowners 15 cents per $1,000 of assessed value. To continue the levy, the council will need to put it to voters in May. Grace Chinowsky reports…
