COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – A string of thefts and break-ins in Lane County has led to the arrest and indictment of two Cottage Grove residents, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
LCSO officials said that 40-year-old Michael Duane Vanbrocklin and 31-year-old Dillon McQuade Praay were arrested on Aug. 30 and are facing charges for multiple offenses following a series of incidents over the summer.
LCSO officials said that the Lane County Sheriff’s Forest Patrol, working closely with the Bureau of Land Management and other agencies, began investigating after a local logging site was vandalized on June 16. Further incidents were reported in August, including thefts from logging sites and the Dorena Genetic Research Center, sheriff’s deputies said.
