Winter weather advisory affecting Cascades Sunday and Monday – could see 6 inches of snow

On Saturday at 12:37 p.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Sunday 8 a.m. until Monday 11 a.m. for North Oregon Cascades, Cascades of Marion and Linn counties and Cascades of Lane County.

“Snow above 4000 ft. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches,” can be anticipated according to the weather service. “For elevations above 5000 ft, there is an 80% chance that snow accumulations will end up between of 4 to 15 inches. There is a 10% chance that snow accumulations of 15 inches or more.”…
