EUGENE, Ore. — The City of Eugene has expanded its park system with the recent acquisition of approximately eight acres of riverfront property adjacent to the Downtown Riverfront Park.
The newly acquired site, located along the south bank of the Willamette River, will be managed as a natural area with access to the shared-use path and other nearby trails. Parks and Open Space staff have cleaned up the site and installed new park rules signs and boundary markers.
