EWEB Truck-or-Treat event moves to Lane Events Center

EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) has moved its popular Truck-or-Treat event indoors to the Lane Events Center this Friday, Oct. 24, due to severe weather forecasts.

According to EWEB, the free event allows families and children to trick-or-treat from truck to truck, with a dozen large utility vehicles decorated in Halloween themes. An atmospheric river is expected to bring heavy rain and gusty winds, prompting the relocation from EWEB’s Roosevelt Operations Center in West Eugene, the customer-owned utility provider said.

Community members can enjoy cider and vote for the winners of EWEB’s Public Power Week Poster Contest, which features entries from 5th graders across the service territory…
