Lane County property owners can now view their 2025–2026 property tax statements online at www.LaneCountyOR.gov/AT. Paper statements will also be sent by mail. The first payment for this tax year is due on November 17, 2025. The Lane County Assessment and Taxation office collects property taxes for 85 taxing districts. These include cities, schools, fire and water districts, and other local services. For the 2025–26 tax year, the total certified property tax is $746 million. This is a 3.49 percent increase from last year.
The annual change in total taxes billed depends on several factors. These include new or renewed local option and bond levies, the end of existing levies, a 3 percent statutory increase in Maximum Assessed Values (MAV), new properties, and exemptions. Oregon’s constitution limits the annual MAV increase for each property to 3 percent, unless there are major changes like new construction, subdivisions, or changes in use or zoning.
Each property’s tax statement shows its Taxable Value (TV). This is the lower of the Real Market Value (RMV) or the MAV minus exemptions. For 2025, Lane County’s RMV increased from $101.3 billion to $102.7 billion, a 1.42 percent rise. The combined TV for all properties went up by 4.38 percent, from $43.1 billion in 2024 to $44.9 billion in 2025. Of the county’s 182,937 property tax accounts, 16.2 percent are exempt.
