According to the National Weather Service in Portland, showers will become widespread by midday Friday, increasing through the afternoon as south winds strengthen between 15–25 mph, gusting near 30 mph in exposed areas. Periods of steady rain continue into Saturday, with new precipitation totals between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible by Sunday evening.
Roadways along I-5, Route 99, and local low-lying areas may see standing water at times, especially during heavier bursts of rain.
