EUGENE, Ore. – A restless wind sweeps through the valley before dawn, rustling rain-soaked leaves across driveways and past glowing porch lights. The Pacific storm machine is in full motion this Saturday, ushering in one of the most blustery weekends of fall so far for Eugene and the southern Willamette Valley.
The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Wind Advisory through Saturday night, warning of gusts reaching 45 mph. Showers and embedded thunderstorms are expected after midday, with the heaviest rainfall hitting during the late afternoon and evening.
