A Lane County indoor multi-use facility is gaining new momentum

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Travel Lane County is pushing for an indoor multi-use facility, saying such a space can help with economic dips during the winter time.

On Oct. 21, the non-profit presented to the Lane County Board of Commissioners about the importance of bringing a facility like this to the area, after years of being on the back burner of county priorities.

“With an indoor facility that would have the potential for a minimum of eight basketball courts that converts into 16 volleyball courts, we would have the opportunity to be able to host tournaments here,” Andy Vobora, Travel Lane County…
