Mill Street Reconstruction Complete: City Invites Springfield Residents to Grand Opening Ceremony

The City of Springfield, Oregon, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the reconstructed Mill Street. The event is scheduled at the corner of Mill Street and “A” Street. Mayor Sean VanGordon, City Councilor Steve Moe, city officials, and project partners will attend and give remarks.

The Mill Street Reconstruction Project cost $11.3 million. K&E Excavating Inc. led the construction. The project included new pavement, ADA-compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, improved street lighting, upgraded stormwater and wastewater systems, and relocated underground utilities.
