EUGENE, Ore. — Normally you don’t smash your pumpkin until after Halloween – but some Eugene students decided to get a jump on things.
Students from Early College and Career Options at Eugene 4J are taking what they learned in class to the real world, applying lessons of gravity, force, and motion to keep their pumpkins safe from harm after taking quite a fall.
“I learned that pumpkins are a lot easier to protect than I was first thinking,” said student Robbie Sabin. “Honestly, I thought that a lot more of the pumpkins would break, but they didn’t. They all seemed to stay pretty strong.”…
