What Jahlil Florence’s decision to enter the portal means for the Ducks

Third on the depth chart behind Brandon Finney and Na’eem Offord, Jahlil Florence announced Sunday his intention to enter the Transfer Portal when it opens in January.

The 6-1, 195 redshirt junior started 9 games in 2023 before a torn ACL but Finney’s emergence as one of the elite corners in the FBS made him a backup. In parts of three seasons he appeared in 22 games with 35 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 2 interceptions.

Florence was a four-star recruit in the class of 2022 from Lincoln High School in San Diego, ranked the No. 83 prospect and No. 11 cornerback in the 247Sports Composite. He’s no longer on the roster…
